CAVALIER GENEVE WHITE REVIEW – CALIFORNIA
Summary: Does it make sense to say that this cigar looks like it has some age on it? This stick starts out with red pepper, honey, and cedar with a good amount of that pepper on the retro hale. Had to put it down for 30 min because some wasps started building a nest on my balcony and I had to run to the store for some spray. Picking up some peanuts (from the cigar, not the store).
The second third starts with sweet bread. Umami. Even when taking into account my emergency wasp recess, this cigar is lasting a long time.
Final third. The ash is a bit flaky, but the flavors remain consistent. Baking spices. I enjoyed the combination of sweet and spice throughout.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Honey on toast.
Pairing Suggestion: Rye.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Fiver.
CAVALIER GENEVE WHITE REVIEW – WISCONSIN
Summary: This cigar brought lots of cocoa and oak, and it also included flavors like cereal grain, graham cracker, brown sugar, coffee, and creaminess. I really dug the flavor profile on the cigar.
The draw was good, with no problems. The burn gave me no issues throughout. It performed very well.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: S'mores.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee with a splash of bourbon.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Box.
CAVALIER GENEVE WHITE REVIEW – OREGON
Summary: The cold draw on this cigar is really interesting as I try and decide if it’s grape jelly I’m tasting, or have I lost my mind.
Must’ve been losing my mind... cream, pepper, leather and intense citrus in the retro hale and in the finish on my palate. More citrus than a Florida orange grove. Let’s add in a pretty strong salty mineral note... and hope it goes away quickly. Slightly better now... hold the salt, add wood and mild tobacco.
Middle portion still carrying that mineral flavor along with oak and some graham cracker notes. The mineral flavor is boss, which means the rest of the flavors should look for a new job. Occasionally I’ll get a flash of something spectacular equal to creamy leather and citrus with a sweetness too it...but it is fleeting.
Final section is just a repeat of the middle with the prominence of that salty mineral flavor. No joy.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Microwave Burritos.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee...with a lot of sweetener.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single.
