LAMPERT 1593 BLANCA REVIEW – DOM

Summary: Campfire, cinnamon, and chamomile tea start this cigar with a trio of Cs. An inch in, hay, milk chocolate, and lots of orange steer this cigar toward cubanesque flavors. While the coloring of the wrapper has some imperfections upon close inspection, the tooth and sheen are legit. Peanut and Pibb Xtra paint a seriously complex profile.

Top-notch construction has me smoking with my feet up. Nearing the inevitable nub, baking spices and a tropical sweetness turn vacation mode on.

LAMPERT 1593 BLANCA REVIEW – BEN

Summary: This is a beautiful wrapper giving off black pepper, mineral and what seems to be espresso on the retro hale. I accidently smoked this with the fan on, turned my head and the ash went flying! LOL! Short filler it is...

Pull is quite loose. Second half is salty with a natural tobacco and tea flavor. There's some oak too but no signs of sweetness. Smoked it to a nub and it was a smooth finish.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: First afternoon indulgence

Pairing Suggestion: Brown sugar latte

Perceived Strength: Medium

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack

LAMPERT 1593 BLANCA REVIEW – TED

Summary:  Nice looking oily wrapper on this week’s cigar. Light in the hand and very firmly packed.

Off the starting line with mild coffee, oak, baking spices, mild caramel, and a hint of anise every so often. Interesting mixture. There’s also an ever so slight mineral note but it’s very subdued. The retro hale is mildly warm, carrying some sweetness and citrus qualities as well.

Middle section. Ash still holding tight looking like the coveted stacked dimes. Excellent construction. Flavors haven’t really shifted and honestly, I’m ok with that. There’s an addition of stronger coffee notes and more pronounced caramel. Super smooth. Even the room smoke has some sweetness to it.

Entering the final third. Bit of a spicy tingle on the tongue right now. The A+ construction is complimented by smooth smoke. The notes include fresh wood, citrus, baking spice and I’m still finding flashes of anise in the long finish. This cigar has approachable tasting notes and would be a hit with a new or experienced smoker.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Lounge time with a classic book

Pairing Suggestion: Martini

Perceived Strength: Medium+
