POST SCRIPT REVIEW – DOM

Summary: The wrapper leaf has a slightly greenish hue to it that I would have missed had it not been next to regular-brown colored cigars in my humidor.  Lighting up, I get toast and pepper channeled through a wide open draw.  This pepper bomb has my nose hairs standing at attention.  A hint of chocolate offers hope of salvation in the form of salivation from the scorched earth policy of the punishing pepper heat.

Halfway down, the pepper becomes much more bearable, ameliorating my experience.  I’d smoke another, but this is definitely not a first-cigar-of-the-day cigar.

POST SCRIPT REVIEW – RICH

Summary: This cigar brought notes of milk chocolate, pepper, earth, toffee, espresso, and brown sugar. Delicious.

Construction was on point; no issues to speak of. Fantastic taste and made well? I'm sold.

Pairing Suggestion: Coffee

POST SCRIPT REVIEW – BEN

Summary: Ooooui, black pepper and spice from the retro to the back of my throat to the top of my tongue. The kind that makes u cough and sneeze.  To be honest, it tastes like paper. Very drying on my palate and leathery. The front end of this cigar was so potent I couldn’t taste anything else.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Hocking a loogie

Pairing Suggestion: Sparkling water

Perceived Strength: Medium+

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single

Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.

So you guys know about DRY BOXING or RESTING your cigars, yes? I am smoking one now after it was in my humi for a couple months AND dry boxed for two days, and it is FABULOUS. The flavors are dominated by delicious cocoa, coffee with lots of cream and muscovado sugar and a great floral quality.

Maybe Rich rested his properly lol. CHEERS!
