PATINA LE 2024 REVIEW – DOM
Summary: The wrapper leaf looks like it has the same taste in men as Rihanna. In the hand, this cigar feels “main and mortal heavy.” Black coffee and Oreos pipe some gritty goodness through a snug draw.
Halfway down, the draw hasn’t given me any grief, and mint ‘n’ chip adds to my joy bar. Other than a funky fishy note at the very end, this cigar was just fine.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Worms (they’re good for the soil)
Pairing Suggestion: Rum
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single
PATINA LE 2024 REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought earth at the start that transitioned into espresso, a little cream, and cocoa nibs. It didn't strike me as particularly complex, but it was tasty and well-made.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Latte with an extra shot of espresso
Pairing Suggestion: Bourbon
Perceived Strength: Medium+
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack
PATINA LE 2024 REVIEW – BEN
Summary: Immediately minty on the retro but quickly turned into black pepper, leather, and dirt. For a second there, it was tasting like what a grill smells like (with or without meat on it). The first half came in STRONG.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Tongue scraper
Pairing Suggestion: Craft beer or unlimited amounts of mouthwash
Perceived Strength: Full
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single
Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
