PETRUS ORO REVIEW – DOM
Summary: This cigar feels like it’ll smoke quickly. Hay, macadamia nut, and a nice sweetness on the retro hale take my mind off the freezing weather. Baking spices show up in a big way an inch down. With a burning pace more relaxed than I had expected, Ferrero Rocherand chocolate covered raisins have me in no rush to finish.
I correct the burn halfway down and am met with an intriguing combination of caramel and salted tortilla chip. Interestingly, the filler ash is brown instead of gray (does cold weather cause this?). Uh oh, it’s getting squishy. Sucking out rose petals from the hacky sack nub, this cigar was a “Mary Poppins bag” of surprises.

PETRUS ORO REVIEW – RICH
Summary: The first thing I notice about this cigar is that there's (what appears to be) cigar glue in many, many places along the wrapper. So, I'm guessing it's usually covered with a huge band? Even if so, there's a heck of a lot of glue involved.
Flavor-wise, I tasted earth, pepper, sweet cream, peanut, leather, and coffee notes. Most of the cigar was reminiscent of drinking coffee with cream.
The draw and burn gave me nothing to complain about. If you're a fan of smoke output, you've got a winner here - lots and lots of smoke came billowing from this stick.

PETRUS ORO REVIEW – BEN
Summary: It's a fatty with a hood: the wrapper reeks of smoked meat and jalapeno heat. It's sensational and spicy to the touch. Leather and milk chocolate enter the chat in the first half but in the second, it gets a tad bitter, like black coffee. The more I smoke, the softer the stick gets making it hard to keep lit; it collapses in my fingertips. Because of the size, I had to fish kiss this one which makes me feel like hiccups are to follow.

PETRUS ORO REVIEW – TED
Summary: I haven’t seen this much oiliness on a wrapper in a long time. This cigar feels really spongy as well… maybe under filled. I don’t really mention notes on the cold draw very much unless it’s somewhat unique. This cigar falls squarely into that category. I’m not even really sure what it is I am tasting, but I can tell you that the wrapper also has a lot of pepper spice to it. Let’s get this thing lit.
Ok. Pepper. Lots of it. Burnt toast and earth notes. The burn line is really crooked and wide. Already correcting. Also tasting some nuttiness and… saffron? It’s a strange mixture. Don’t look at me that way.
After applying a relight in the middle section: wood, pepper, and rye bread? When this cigar is burning right it produces great smoke volume. But it’s taking some work to keep it lit. Also, my black pants aren’t liking all the ash dropping off the end. Pretty messy. In the time it took me to type the last two lines the cigar is out again.
As I start into the final section, I can tell you this cigar is most definitely under filled as it is absolutely mushy. I am tasting wood notes and a pretty powerful vegetal note on top of burnt toast and some earthy flavors. Cigar is out again.
