This Thanksgiving, we wanted to take a moment and give thanks to the cigars that have fueled countless hours of packing, shipping, and customer service by our team. After a quick poll yesterday, these are the cigars that the Small Batch crew has selected time and again over the last year and represents a short list of our daily rotation.
Zino Davidoff 100th Robusto
Originally released in 2006, this cigar has become a staple around the office for its gentle, approachable flavor profile and excellent construction. Paired with espresso, one can easily appreciate the sophistication that eleven years imparts to such a cigar.
HVC Cerro Robusto
HVC stands for Havana City and pays homage to owner Reinier Lorenzo’s Cuban childhood. The Cerro is particularly important to Lorenzo as it signifies his hometown. We find this to be a charming cigar, carefully balancing sweet and spicy tones to keep us engaged.
Dapper La Madrina Robusto
If you haven’t discovered Ian Reith and Dapper Cigars yet, it’s about time that you took the plunge! Translating to The Godmother, this cigar fires on all cylinders from start to finish. It’s especially pleasant to work while you smoke with a cigar that’s more in your face and doesn’t require careful attention to taste the blender’s intent.
Paul Garmirian Symphony 20th Corona Extra
When reaching for a routine smoke, it’s hard to pass up the PG series from the man who literally wrote the book on cigars! The Symphony 20 Corona Extra is a magnificent blend that captures everything you’d expect from a cigar with gourmet boldly printed on the band.
Illusione ~ECCJ~ 20th Corona Gorda
The ~ECCJ~ was originally blended to commemorate the 15th anniversary of what would go on to be Cigar Journal. 5 years later, Illusione gave us a different size and a different blend in the ~ECCJ~ 20th. Today, this cigar continues to dominate daily cigar choices because of its unparalleled complexity.

The Full Moon and Zombie Bill Hatchet. Both were in my wheelhouse and I smoked through a box of each, plus some!
I'm also thankful for the El Oso Mama that never fails to be smooth and creamy. Just wish it didn't seem to always be OOS. :/
Thanks to everyone for contributing to the conversation!
It’s been a great year.
Happy Holidays
