BLIND Patina Connecticut Review by Small Batch Cigar

Summary:  Sweet, red pepper on the cold draw.  First few puffs offer graham cracker, cedar, and plenty of black pepper on the retro hale.  Lots of floral notes.  Dijon!  The burn line is great, but the ash doesn't hold on too long.  The retro hale has less of a sting now as sweet wheat and cream take over.

Second third features mostly wheat, red pepper, and a hint of mint.  Floral notes still pop up here and there.

Herbs to kick off the final third. Much the same at the close.

Blind Cigar Reviews by Small Batch Cigar

Summary:  This cigar didn't bring a huge mix of changing flavors, but it nailed the flavor profile it brought. I got cream, hay, almond, pepper, lemon, salt, butter, and honey sweetness. The pepper added something nice to its milder profile. I enjoyed the flavor experience throughout this long cigar.

The draw was perfect. The burn didn't need any touch-ups at all, and the ash kept holding on, even when I tried to knock it off. Very good construction.

I enjoyed this cigar quite a bit and would happily smoke many more.

If You Like That, You Might Like This:  If you like 'em mild and balanced, but with a little something extra.

Pairing Suggestion:  Coffee.

Blind Cigar Review by Small Batch

Summary:  This Connecticut wrapped Churchill has just a little bit of barnyard and peanut smell to it with a nice cold draw resistance. Let’s get it lit.
Leather, mild honey and oak, floral highlights and just a bit of pepper spice lead the way.  Getting on and off again notes of butter toffee too...damn man.  It’s legit. Also, seems to be some lemon zest working in and out of the mix. Pretty smooth operator...and a solid ash to boot.

Near the middle, leather, lemon buttercream, mild pepper spice, coffee and fresh hay all join forces to impress. Seriously nice.  Still has a perfect draw and a solid ash.  The retro hale is smooth as well with floral and citrus both surrounded by a mild heat.

Towards the end, flavors are really consistent with what I tasted in the middle but add a bit of creaminess and some amped up heat in the retro hale and ya got a winner.  Also, perfect construction foot to cap... well done!

Pairing Suggestion:  Coffee in the a.m..... Havana Club 7yr in the p.m.
