DAVIDOFF SPECIAL 53 REVIEW – CALIFORNIA
Summary: Lovin' this vitola. Starting out, I'm picking up cedar, cream, and chili beans. The retro hale hop-scotches between green and red pepper while some milk chocolatey sweetness blesses my palate. I'm impressed how well this is burning after having lit only the tip of the nipple of a foot.
Sesame seeds in the second third. Some vegetal notes sneak in to compliment the sweetness (think baked carrots with brown sugar). Ya, definitely carrots.
Final third. Milk chocolate and red pepper.

DAVIDOFF SPECIAL 53 REVIEW – WISCONSIN
Summary: This cigar brought a flavor profile of cedar, bread, peanut, very light black pepper, cream, and a bit of sourness to round it out. It's not my preferred profile, but if you're someone who's into sour beers this could be a big hit for you - it reminded me of that sort of flavor experience.
The burn and draw gave me no issues at all. Great construction.

Pairing Suggestion: Sweet Tea.

DAVIDOFF SPECIAL 53 REVIEW – OREGON
Summary: Big perfecto. Not too firmly packed. Decent draw through the stick prior to lighting. The cigar is starting off with a lot of what I’ll call “bright” leather flavors and a profile built from a floral/wood mix. I’m not pulling much from this cigar that is super distinct in regard to flavor. It has a long finish of wood notes as well.
Near the transition from start to middle, getting some bread notes, mild baking spice, wood notes and a hint of floral finish. The retro hale is quite mild and very floral in flavor.
Entering the final section and unfortunately the flavors really haven’t changed for me. Bread, wood, leather and mild floral flavors have really controlled the profile from the start. This isn’t a bad cigar; it’s just missing any real “pop” in the profile.

Pairing Suggestion: Martini.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
