Deliverance Nocturne Review - Oregon

Summary: This perfecto shaped cigar appeared super oily with zero tooth on the wrapper. It smelled like barnyard and Worcestershire sauce!

Early flavors included burnt toast, dry plum and strong tobacco with a hearty black pepper spice finish on the palate and the sinuses.

In the middle, the mix transitioned to grilled meat and milder tobacco notes. It maintained that black pepper spice heat but the flavors complimented each other more than in the first third of the cigar. The construction was rock solid with a firm ash and a razor sharp burn line.

In the final stage, things got really interesting for me. The heavy smoke carried espresso, bold tobacco and coffee with a hint of cinnamon on the finish. I also noticed a slightly bitter walnut changing to roasted peanut. The final third was just spectacular. This cigar punched me right in the mouth with full body and full strength all the way through.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: If you like this you probably like triple shots of espresso while chugging Mountain Dew.

Pairing Suggestion: Pair this with your favorite 120 proof beverage. This cigar will hold up to whatever you throw at it.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: I’d go fiver on this one...but if you like receiving roundhouse kicks, go for a box!

Black Label Trading Company Deliverance Nocturne Review

Deliverance Nocturne Review - Wisconsin

Summary: This smoke tasted of earth, piles of pepper, a good bit of spice, with less obvious notes of molasses, gingerbread, and meatiness. Baking spices picked up near the second half, but mostly it was this grouping of flavors throughout.

The biggest letdown on this cigar was its draw - it was loose. Like, way too loose. The kind of loose that makes you walk a fine line between the cigar going out and the cigar burning way too hot. I'm guessing I missed some nuances of flavors because of this.

The burn was even and consistent, which isn't always something that happens with an odd draw. And the smoke output was quite ample. I didn't get any indications the construction had issues other than the loose draw, so I'd give this cigar another shot.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: If you're all about the earth, this is your smoke.

Pairing Suggestion: Coca-Cola. Classic - diet soda doesn't ever pair as well as the real stuff.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single on this one.

BLTC Deliverance Nocturne Review

Deliverance Nocturne - California

Summary: This is one cartoon-looking cigar. Reminds me of the cigars in Pinocchio and Little Nemo. Starting out, it oddly tastes like white wine but in a dark, robust kind of way. The retrohale is a perfect amount of peppery. Toast. Burn is razor sharp and coffee is blasting out of this thing.

Second third is kicking off with nutmeg and daisies. Unfortunately, things are taking a turn for the worse about halfway through; reminds me of an old man’s cologne. Leather.

Still getting coffee and floral notes here and there which is keeping me interested through the end.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: All-you-can-eat Chinese food buffets.

Pairing Suggestion: Pair with, I can’t believe I’m saying this, white wine.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Fiver. The second half might come around after some time in the slammer.
