CALL TO ARMS REVIEW – DOM

Summary: After lighting the half-closed foot, I enjoy cedar, white pepper, and a flash of dried mango; let’s tango.  There’s something about smoking a cigar this size that makes me feel distinguished.   As the ash stacks, a savory, creamy funk calls sage butter to mind. Green pepper meshes seamlessly with the palette of flavors.

Halfway down, the strength strikes.  Much of the same flavors continue throughout the remainder of the smoke, peanuts being the exception at the very end.  Cha cha real smooth.

CALL TO ARMS REVIEW – RICH

Summary: This cigar brought notes of graham cracker, earth, pepper, a jalapeno-like spice that mellows out quickly, toast, cream, and cashew.

The draw was great, and smoke billowed from this cigar. The only place where the construction let me down was that the burn got uneven frequently.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Afternoon tea, though with just a touch of spice

Pairing Suggestion: Coffee

Perceived Strength: Medium

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack

Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
