CORONETA MADURO REVIEW – DOM
Summary: My first thought when I look at this cigar isn’t fish, avocado, or Iraq, but oil is definitely on my mind. Semisweet chocolate, Coca-Cola, and a meatiness create such a wonderful combination that I have no desire to second guess myself about that opening line. Roses and jalapeños (minus the heat) give bursts of flavor that fade too quickly, causing me to puff at a high clip.
Halfway down, the aforementioned short finish continues as the sharpness of the floral-green pepper-chocolate wanes. Even with its whispering tasting notes at times, this cigar is better than most and boasts some wildly loud flavors.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Melon balls
Pairing Suggestion: Coke
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack
CORONETA MADURO REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought notes of dark chocolate, cherry, pecan, anise, raisin, and a grassy note that struck me as a bit discordant.
The draw was on the loose side, though it didn't cause any problems. The cigar burned properly the whole way down.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: A chocolate sundae with a few grass clippings scattered in there.
Pairing Suggestion: Bourbon
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single
CORONETA MADURO REVIEW – BEN
Summary: There’s nothing like ammonia as your first few puffs but even struggling through that, smoke production is A-1. Leather, Hearty, and what smells like Grilled with wood chips in the first. Greeted with Raisins and A hint of Red pepper flakes but it starts Tasting like burnt meat at the end.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: A long ride home
Pairing Suggestion: La Croix
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single
