R&R Cigars has been making cigars out of the Mi Havana factory for years, but just recently launched their own brand. The Soldier King by R&R Cigars is their medium-bodied brand, focusing on flavor moreso than strength. R&R's Pax Romana focuses on milder blends and Gran Corona focuses on bolder blends.

THE SOLDIER KING HABANO REVIEW – DOM
Summary: This flat box-pressed cigar looks like milk chocolate but tastes like sugar and hay. An ash tap down, the sweetness gives way to sesame seeds. Aside from the flavor, there’s a richness to the texture of the smoke that I really dig.
From halfway down until the end, floral notes mesh with the sesame seeds. While it might fall short of being box-worthy treasure, this cigar is sure to bring enjoyment for many an Arabian night.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Sunny days sweeping the clouds away
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack
THE SOLDIER KING HABANO REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought notes of earth, cream, milk chocolate, orange, and increasingly bitter earth as it went along. If the whole cigar was as good as the first inch, this would be a winner. The bitterness took over and it ruined the joy.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Taking out a loan - it's fun at first to get what you want, but the thrill can disappear pretty quickly
Pairing Suggestion: Cola
Perceived Strength: Medium+
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single
THE SOLDIER KING HABANO REVIEW – BEN
Summary: Honestly, I’m not sure what I tasting more, tobacco or wind, but my chest hurts! My cigar was rolled loose-y goose-y; tons of smoke production but hella airy.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Breathing into a brown paper bag
Pairing Suggestion: Ice-cold H2O
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single
Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
