STALLONE COROJO REVIEW – CALIFORNIA
Summary: The grade-A draw and soft-box press foreshadow a good time ahead (knock on wood). Butterscotch, leather, and cedar, with pepper exclusively on the retro hale.
About halfway through, the sweetness jives on and a floral/tea-like note joins the party. I had to relight it once, but I’ll chalk that up to user negligence. Vanilla at the finish. Good stuff.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Biscotti.
Pairing Suggestion: Bourbon.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
STALLONE COROJO REVIEW – WISCONSIN
Summary: This cigar gave me big notes of wood, graham cracker, earth, and mineral. There were smaller notes of pepper, cocoa, and caramel. The flavor description sounds like it should all go together when I write it out, but it just didn't quite work for me. It came across as dry and unbalanced.
The burn line was consistently wavy, but self-correcting. The draw gave no issues at all. The construction was good; the flavor notes just didn't match up together nicely in my opinion.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Doing yard work.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single.
STALLONE COROJO REVIEW – OREGON
Summary: The cigar has a nice smooth milk chocolate colored wrapper. It’s also box pressed but I would not call it a sharp press - relatively rounded corners. The cold draw is loose and offers flavors of cocoa powder and sourdough bread.
It’s a chalky mix of fresh bread, cocoa, cardamom and leather in the first portion. The retro hale is a slightly sweet floral note and just a hint of pepper spice. I’m smoking this on a day that it’s just a little bit breezy yet the burn is absolutely razor sharp and the smoke production is fantastic.
The middle section of the cigar still finds it with a razor-sharp burn and great smoke production. The flavors mimic the first portion of cigar however they are a bit less pronounced. Nonetheless, very enjoyable.
The last section of the cigar finds me applying just a couple of minor burn corrections but remains enjoyable with a well-balanced mixture of cocoa, coffee, leather, mild tobacco and just the slightest hint of pepper. I prefer cigars with more robust flavors than this one had but if you enjoy a milder cigar this one may be right up your alley.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: A morning cigar in the evening.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee or Baileys on ice.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
