At the turn of the century, Litto Gomez envisioned a project that would not only showcase Dominican tobacco but also his farm, La Canela. The Litto Gomez 2015 Vintage is a Dominican puro that was sourced strictly from La Canela, aged four years, and then celebrated each year as a new batch is released.

Litto Gomez 2015 Review from California
Summary: *DISCLAIMER* Napa is currently on fire and there's a ton of smoke in the San Jose area. May or may not affect my ability to discern any subtle nuances that the cigar may present. A big thank you to all the first responders out there. Keep on truckin' and God bless.
Grilled fruit on the pre-light. Draw is tight (as in snug, not cool, dude.) Grilled chicken with hickory and pepper. Pesto! Roasted pine nut goodness. Ash isn't very stable. Chicken has just done a reverse 3.5 somersault in the tuck position into the ocean and has surfaced as buttery shrimp. Saying a cigar tastes like seafood sounds bad, but I'm telling you, this works. Fresh bread as well now.
Second third. Don't wear a dark colored shirt if you're smoking this (or have dandruff). The ash keeps splintering off into flakes. Banana sweeps in but brings a touch of bitterness along with it. Anise or some other type of herb is adding more complexity to the experience. It's starting to get a bit doughy, losing that "baked" richness.
Final third is kicking off with more spice. Herb City now which is making the retrohale intense.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: If you like this you'll like fresh prawns drenched in garlic butter.
Pairing Suggestion: Pair with a hefeweizen.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Easy fiver. Would be box-worthy if the ash was more stable and the draw was less constricted.

Litto Gomez 2015 Review from Wisconsin
Summary: This smoke charged out the gate with creamy, voluminous smoke full of red pepper. Flavors of damp earth, cocoa, and dark chocolate joined in. The most interesting thing about this cigar early on was how each puff had an obvious progression to it: it started creamy, built into earth, then chocolate, and ended on a long peppery, spicy finish.
Later in the cigar, almonds, rye bread, cedar, cinnamon, and sourness joined in. While an individual puff had interesting changes of flavor, the cigar's overall profile didn't change. I found myself wanting more from it; it didn't quite hold my attention, delivering the same thing again and again.
It gets high marks for construction. My burn line stayed sharp, the draw was on point, and the ash held on tightly, stacking up like dimes.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: If you're into pepper, especially a pepper that sneaks up on you in each puff, this is your cigar.
Pairing Suggestion: Brandy old fashioned.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single - if I smoked another of these and it gave me a little more of a special something, I'd go fiver.

Litto Gomez 2015 Review from Oregon
Summary: This cigar appeared to be about 5 x 42-46 in size. It looked like a quick smoke which sometimes, is just what the doctor ordered. The cold draw was tighter than I prefer but carried dry hay and mild hints of Dr. Pepper.
After lighting it up, I tasted cedar and lemon zest with a wasabi like heat on the retrohale. The burn during the first two thirds was truly erratic...and I am being nice. The last part of the cigar saw the burn straighten out considerably.
Later on in the smoke, flavors including suede leather, floral notes and walnut all showed up. I also had one point in the cigar, right towards the middle, where I tasted a really strong note of what I would call fermented raisin...like A1 steak sauce. It was very brief and not super strong but interesting anyway.
Off and on I also caught red pepper flake heat on my palate, but it was quick finishing overall. The cigar suffered from the tight draw from start to finish resulting in light, wispy smoke.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: If you like this then you probably like McDonalds milkshakes too.
Pairing Suggestion: I’d pair this cigar with a really hoppy IPA. I feel like bourbon or whisky would bury the flavors of the cigar and it just doesn’t seem to have the beefy profile able to stands it’s ground with a stout or porter.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: I can see how this cigar would appeal to a lot of smokers I know. This cigar reminded me of the Warped Don Reynaldo. TONS of folks love that cigar...I do not. But that’s ok. So, if it sounds like this cigar is appealing (minus the horrific draw I experienced) then pick up a fiver and watch the world burn!
Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
