WARPED LIRIO ROJO 2019 REVIEW – CALIFORNIA
Summary: Nuts, cedar, and pepper have me jiving with this stick. Brown sugar, how come you taste so good?! Man this thing's tasty.
Second third, same sexy flavors with some orange that's rubbing me the right way. Floral notes as well.
Re-lit it entering the final third, but I'm not holding anything against this beauty. Green and black pepper accompanied by that good ol' brown sugar close this cigar out.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Scoring something priceless at a garage sale.
Pairing Suggestion: Buttered rum.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Box.
WARPED LIRIO ROJO 2019 REVIEW – WISCONSIN
Summary: This cigar brought notes of chocolate, hay, pepper, brown sugar, a vegetal taste, and some skunkiness that comes and goes. It was quite peppery in the beginning. As it moved along, it got smoother and woodier.
It's hard to have a complaint construction-wise. The burn was wavy, but good. The draw was spot-on. Lots of points for construction. It lost them for flavor to me. Maybe that means it will be a cigar you'll like more than I did.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Peppery oak
Pairing Suggestion: Rum.

LIRIO ROJO 2019 REVIEW – OREGON
Summary: This week’s blind cigar features a tapered cap and a darkish red/brown wrapper. Barnyard, cinnamon and black tea leaves on the nose but the cold draw, reminds me of Redman pouch tobacco. Also, the cold draw is a bit tight.
Starting with strong tea notes, baking spice, mild tobacco and a touch of hickory as well. The retro hale smoke has a bit more complexity and for me, a solid dash of wasabi style heat. Flavors include a creamy leather note, fresh wood and some earth notes as well.
Midway through this stick and two relights later, leather, coffee, mild tobacco and some floral notes make up the mix. Smoke production is a D-. I’m certain the flavors are really suffering from the draw being choked on this cigar.
After more relights, I’m finally in the last portion of the stick and the flavors are quite muted and a bit harsh when they do arrive. The draw on this cigar isn’t good at all. Hopefully mine was just a bad roll.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Looking forward to the next cigar.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee or an IPA in the afternoon.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single.
Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
