FRATELLO NAVETTA INVERSO REVIEW – CALIFORNIA

Summary:  Kellogg's cereal.  I'm getting some floral notes, but they're lacking the sweetness that I normally attribute to flowers.  Kind of like if you tried eating a flower, it wouldn't taste like perfume.

The second third takes a step from the flower garden into the vegetable garden: radishes, but minus the spice.   My mouth is drying out somewhat so I'm glad I came prepared with some water.

Final third still has me wanting something more.  But that's about it from me.

Pairing Suggestion:  Rum.

FRATELLO NAVETTA INVERSO REVIEW – WISCONSIN

Summary:  This cigar was a cocoa bomb. Lots of cocoa, not a ton of other flavors. I did also get notes of cream, oak, brown sugar, a light amount of pepper, and a bunch of umami in the second half. The cigar got oakier as it went along but kept lots of cocoa throughout. While it wasn't the most complex cigar I've smoked recently, the flavors were quite good.

The draw was right on point. The burn got pretty uneven, but only needed one touch-up.

If You Like That, You Might Like This:  Cocoa, cocoa, cocoa.

Pairing Suggestion:  Cappuccino.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend:  Fiver.

FRATELLO NAVETTA INVERSO REVIEW – OREGON

Summary:  Sweet tobacco and black tea leaves are the notes from the foot of this stick.  The cold draw is perfect and features pungent hay and tobacco.

The start of this cigar is comprised of warm wood notes with a noticeable underlying sweetness on the tongue.  Other flavors making appearances are leather and grass with a smooth body of mixed spices.  In the retro hale, citrus, wood, leather are the main players.  There is also a touch of sweetness to the whole mix.  This is burning well, but I wish it produced more smoke...pretty flimsy.

Towards the middle, the ash dropped and nothing has really changed.  Decent notes all around with wood and citrus accompanied by leather and that same overall sweetness.  The smoke remains thin.  Just waiting for the amperage to kick up on this cigar.

Final section features...not much in the way of profile shift at all.  Thin smoke and muted flavors seem to hint that this would be a good cigar for a new smoker.  The seasoned palate may find this to be a “simple” blend.  Still, everyone needs a starting spot and for the new cigar enthusiast, this may be a great choice.

If You Like That, You Might Like This:  Finding a new stick to offer the occasional smoker.

Pairing Suggestion:  Coffee or Guinness.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend:  5-pack.
