THE VOW BY AVOWED CIGARS REVIEW – DOM

Summary: A bready spice harkens me back to one of the first cigars I ever smoked: the Macanudo Vintage 2000.  A killer, sweet wood note dominates an inch down.  Smoking slowly really brings out the goodness of this nuanced stick.  Refreshing my mouth window, green pepper joins the fold.

Unfortunately, the flavors in the final third lack their previous vivacity; smoked wood is all I’m getting.

THE VOW BY AVOWED CIGARS REVIEW – RICH

Summary: This cigar brought notes of cashew, milk chocolate, cedar, black tea, an increasing amount of cream, and some slight mint and lemon.

Construction was great, and the ash held on tightly like a champ.

THE VOW BY AVOWED CIGARS REVIEW – BEN

Summary: Opens up with sandpaper vibes - dry, precise, and grainy. There’s a creamy peanut butter note which is a nice touch. Now there’s a cinnamon/nutmeg combination on the retro hale; sounds crazy but it felt like Cinnabon. The retro hale is super smooth but in the end, that sandpaper taste reappears along with ammonia.

Pairing Suggestion: Jamaican Rum

Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
