Pilón

CAO Pilón

Pilón refers to the fermentation method of stacking tobacco leaves on top of each other and allowing weight and heat to work their magic. These pilónes are carefully rotated over time to ensure an even fermentation of the tobacco, resulting in sweeter and darker leaves if you continue this process. This aging process is readily apparent on the Pilón by CAO, with a visibly dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that has a wonderfully sweet tasting profile that doesn't overwhelm the palate.

In 2022, Pilón Añejo was introduced with two years of age and an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper!

Pilón Tasting Notes: Nuts, Cocoa, Spice, Cedar, Pepper
