"For the second release of Macanudo Estate Reserve, we aged Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco in the French Oak barrels used to create Flint Knoll’s Royal Appointment Cabernet Sauvignon. Born of the 2019 growing season in Napa Valley, which was a warmer season with the perfect combination of early-season rain and warm summer days, Royal Appointment Cabernet is complex and fruit-forward with spice, ripe tannins and outstanding length. These characteristics are lent to the barrels for a unique and distinctive effect on the smoking experience of the cigar." - Macanudo
