When immigrating to the United States in the 1880s, Julius Newman was required to have a middle name. The immigration officer suggested Caesar, which Mr. Newman readily accepted, and that's how Julius Caeser (J.C.) Newman was born after a slight typo. 

Julius Caeser cigars launched over a decade ago to commemorate their 115th anniversary as a cigar company, and exclusively uses filler tobaccos that have been aged for five years.
